Position: IT Specialist

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree required with 5 years relevant experience in computer science.
  • Ability to quickly resolve complex information systems and security issues/problems.

MILTON, MA - Lead Traffic Engineer/ Transportation Planner

Lead Traffic Engineer/Transportation Planner – Milton, MA

CDR Maguire Inc., a multi-disciplinary engineering firm in Milton, MA, is seeking a qualified Lead Traffic Engineer/Transportation Planner with 10-15 years of experience in the design of MassDOT projects. This supervisory design position will serve in a technical leadership role for the engineering development of urban and rural highway/bridge projects and oversee and mentor younger traffic staff members. This position requires extensive experience in all aspects of traffic engineering and planning. Experience with ITS design, capacity analysis/modeling and transportation planning studies is required. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of the MassDOT Project Delivery Process, design standards and procedures. Candidate must have proficiency in supervising, managing staff and understanding all aspects of traffic engineering and planning for the completion of assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineer role in a variety of transportation corridor planning and traffic related projects.
  • Prepare traffic engineering reports and analysis
  • Prepare technical proposals, conduct business development activities and contribute to growing our business.

Position: Construction Manager

Summary Objective: CDR Maguire has an immediate opening for an experienced construction manager for construction management of multiple, heavy highway construction projects in western Pennsylvania.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will require a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field with a minimum of 15 years of progressive construction management related experience. Specific construction related experience may be substituted for education requirements. CDR Maguire is seeking candidates with significant experience managing projects for the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation agencies. As such, applied knowledge of these agencies’ policies and procedures is required. Working knowledge of document control software such as Kahua, SharePoint, or Constructware is needed for this position along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A registered professional engineer is preferred.

Job Duties / Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include leadership of a construction management team including associated administrative and support staff. Duties will include management of contractor performance, overseeing and providing guidance regarding scope of work, required contract procedures, and field and other technical issues, conducting meetings with contractors and clients, drafting correspondence, negotiating contractor change orders, evaluation of contractor claims, schedule management and mitigation, management of project controls, quality control, contractor payment, material testing, administration of safety plans, coordinating public concerns, submittal reviews, and document control.

Senior Scheduler:

Summary Objective: CDR Maguire has an immediate opening for an experienced senior scheduler for planning, reviewing, and controlling of CPM schedules for multiple, heavy highway construction projects in western Pennsylvania.

 

Qualifications: The successful candidate will require a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field with a minimum of 10 years of progressive design management or construction planning related experience. Oracle Primavera 6 proficiency is required for this position. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to generate design and construction schedules and provide a portfolio of examples for review. Specific experience related to the scheduling requirements and procedures used by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation are preferred. Training and/or Experience with Primavera 3, Microsoft Project, Deltek Open Plan or Asta Powerproject is a plus.

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include reviewing, updating, and generating CPM schedules using Oracle Primavera 6. Scheduler will actively update and maintain an archive of production yields related to construction of transportation related projects. Position may require budget and resource forecasting. Scheduler will oversee the progress of significant regional transportation projects by performing monthly contractor schedule update reviews. Position may require field validation of contractor progress updates and coordination with field staff.

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, PRINCIPAL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Principal Structural Engineer:

Seeking structural engineer to manage bridge project design, scheduling and budget control; develop bridge plans, specifications and construction cost estimates; prepare contract documents for submission; and coordinate with DOT for project design and construction engineering service.  Position requires a working knowledge of current structural bridge design codes and standards, and experience on MassDOT/CTDOT projects preferred.  Familiarity with structural bridge design analysis and design software, including SAP, VIRTIS, BRASS, STRUDL.  Proficiency with MathCAD and AutoCAD or Microstation.  Requires excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.  Ability to work in a team environment, with attention to detail and the ability to take on responsibility is a must.  Requires BSCE with structural emphasis, P.E. and 8-10 years of bridge design experience including 3 years of project management.

PUBLIC ASSISTANCE STAFF

CDR Maguire is currently recruiting for on-call FEMA Public Assistance (PA) staff.  Our team of experienced professionals is looking to add multiple individuals in the project specialist and public assistance coordinator (PAC) roles throughout the U.S.  The successful candidate must possess:

  • Experience working with the FEMA Public Assistance Process
  • Robust knowledge of FEMA 321, 322, 323, and the 9500 Policy Series
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent customer service

Applicants interested in the PAC role must also possess:
